While staying at Summerhill Ranch you'll have the opportunity to walk the Labyrinth. This can be a holy and sacred experience. Many people find profound positive changes occur within them as they do this. (Please feel free to bring a stone to add to the cairn at the entrance to the labyrinth.)
The Labyrinth is a powerful symbol that can reach straight into your psyche. It is an archetype—a divine imprint—that conveys an ancient wisdom regardless of the form or size of the representation.
Labyrinths have been found throughout the world with a remarkable similarity in their designs. It's believed that these designs are based on the innate spiral patterns found in nature. Although ancient civilizations were isolated from one another, the same designs appeared, which underlies a deep archetypal need for these kinds of structures.
Here at Summerhill Ranch, you can 'walk the sacred path'. As you do this, think of the labyrinth as a metaphor for the journey in life back to the source—the winding pathway to the Creator. The turns in the path represent the various changes in your life, yet the path always takes you to the center. To enter the center and re-emerge symbolizes re-birth. As you enter the Labyrinth, allow yourself to go into a meditative state. Let Go. Surrender to your path. Sometimes great insights occur. When you reach the center of the Labyrinth, take time to be still and open. The journey back from the center allows you to shape the fabric of the creation of your life . . . fresh, new and sparkling.
